Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Porth Avallen Hotel to ring in the New Year, I was captivated by its stunning location, offering breathtaking views across St Austell Bay. The friendly and attentive staff created an inviting atmosphere that made our stay feel personal and welcoming-a necessity when traveling as a group. We enjoyed the diverse brasserie menu at Reflections Restaurant, indulging in fresh seafood and classic dishes; the portions were generous and the flavors delightful. I must commend the efficient housekeeping, as our en suite room was always spotless, allowing us to fully unwind amidst our coastal respite. The hotel's outdoor seating provided the perfect backdrop for a sunset drink, making it an ideal setting for thoughtful conversations, whether with friends or solo. With its proximity to the stunning Eden Project and thriving local eateries, I would definitely recommend Porth Avallen Hotel for both business and leisure travelers looking for that perfect coastal escape.
